This 400 acre farm is situated 30 minutes easy drive on strait sealed roads west from Hastings City and a similar distance from the popular village Havelock North. It is 10 minutes from Maraekakaho Village (and one of Hawke’s Bay's best regarded primary and intermediate schools - Maraekakaho Primary.
The farm sits on two largely flat terrace levels separated by gentle to medium north facing hill. This is a warm and sunny property facing as it does fully to the north and with natural shelter from southerly storms. The soils are free draining silt loam, ideal both cropping and intensive cattle and livestock production. The soils and micro climate here are well proven to be ideal for premium wine grape production. Wineries in the immediate area with identical soil types have consistently produced national and international award winning wines, especially Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir.
